agreed lovez it tho i prefer mr vans zandts version
such an underrated Stones song, maybe their best CD too, Sticky Fingers
No, I’m afraid I’ve never been a DJ but I am a lifelong fan of rock n’ roll. I was in high school when groups like the early English groups (Beatles, Stones, DC5) crossed the Atlantic. Later favorites included the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Hollies and the Motown artists too. I guess when you’ve been listening to music for over 50 years you end up having a lot to say?
@MrRonnieG I’ve seen a few of your posts – are/were you a DJ or an R/R fan?. Some of the lyrics in this song remind me of scenes from American Beauty
Actually, the Stones began as an R&B group, in 1962, and sung Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Solomon Burke and other R&B great’s material. It was not until 1963 that the Stones rolled over into rock ‘n roll. The very origin of the group’s name is from a Muddy Water’s recording “Rollin’ Stones.”
3:41 is not Mick.
I love this vid. It’s like every picture of Mick Jagger is perfect sex appeal. Sticky Fingers is in fact, pure sexy-ass music perfection. @buckdog7:agreed Beggars Banquet until Exile. The Stones are my favorite ever, and good god damn look at those lips…..*drools*
there country is awsome
They were definitely at their peak during those years!
The genius of the Stones between 65′-72′ when they incorporated blues, R&B, rockabilly, etc into their string of 7-8 years of the best run a Rock n Roll band has ever had. Lil’ bias cause I was 8-15 years old then but Dead Flowers is one of MANY Hall of Fame credible pieces from that period for the Stones.
Nice lips.
well when yer sitting there in your silk appholsterd chair… i hope you dont see me in my ragged company. you know i could never be alone…

Same here man, great you’re out!
Thank you for posting this!!!
Superlative slide geetar!
One of my all time favorite Stones tunes…I’ve been in that Basement room…
If anyone’s interesting ~~~~~~~~ there’s a GREAT 550 page book (Old Gods Almost Dead) written about the Stones. The book covers the period 1962-2001 (as I recall). Interesting that these guys were an R&B band for the 1st two years playing & recording stuff by Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Solomon Burke and others. Graham Parsons (the book says) was hanging around for awhile but, sadly, they eventually tossed him out of their camp. Parsons died a sad death in a shitty motel room in 1973.
Fuckin brrilliant
This may have been the Gram Parsons influence. parsons was hanging around with the Rolling Stones at this time and actually worked a little bit on the Beggars Banquet album.
…..dieser song macht mich high, ganz ohne drugs and alcohol!!!
Exelent!!!5 stars
Superb!
GOD BLESS, GOOD SONG
