Do you need a license for selling gift baskets?

Ok well i wanted to start a buisness for selling . i was jjust wondering if i need a license.. and where can i get 1????

No. why would you need a license to sell your own crap.


If you are gonna sell them online at your on online store, yes you do need a permit (which btw they are free, also call RESALE) Only cause of tax reasons, if you sell them at a CRAFT FAIR same thing (some crafts shows don’t require a permit) but you can list them on ETSY and you don’t need a permit for that, and the website it’s free!

Just search online where to apply for a RESALE PERMIT.

No, you would be considered a “sole proprietorship” in the law, and you don’t have to do anything. If you wanted to get technical about it, you would have to register any trade name (I.E, Jan’s Gift Baskets) you use with the secretary of state. BTW whoever says you need a license is completely wrong! I know this for a fact because I’m required to make sure any business owners are conforming to the law before I write them a loan.
