This song is about an old person who feels they are a burden on everyone else. They are drugged up in a hospital and the world has changed too much for them. They just welcome death. It’s really sad.
I will NEVER get over this.

You know what would be cool? Collin with a FRETLESS bass… Given his melodic style of bass-playing (with some really wicked rythm too!) I think the smooth, warm and extremely fluid nature of a fretless would do him good… Anyways, wanna purchase a drum kit (yea I play drums too)… Can anyone tell me what kit Phil uses? I’m all over his drums but I’m not sure what kit he uses…

Brilliant. Yorke is a genius. He only needs a few notes to express his emotions as the best songwriters only can.
Yes, and Yes.
I feel as though I exist on a higher plane of existence after listening to this song.
Yes, it was on Disc 2 of In Rainbows.

Sounds very Neil Young to me. Is this track unreleased? Is it a radiohead song?
the best I heard in a year
Genius!
@chaseybarney In my view Kid A was just as fresh and seismic as any Floyd album… and i’m a HUGE Floyd fan.
CLASS.
yeah ive listened to all of radioheads albums extensively. you ever hear dark side of the moon. the amount of firsts that album was credited with is ridiculous. ever heard the wall? have you seen the wall live? meddle?
hmm… ever hear an album called Kid A?
Brilliant. Thom’s voice is so beautiful…I LOVE IT!
haha pink floyd put out more music than radiohead has. and on most albums the music of the whole album intertwined. i love radiohead but pink floyds innovation is uncomparable.
I think Thom Yorke is simply a God of alternative rock. This song is mesmerising, and his voice is, at tims, so haunting… it’s altogether lovely.
